The one RTS that I actually got pretty good at.Let's start with basic mechanics. Base building, control point-based resource management, and effective use of cover. This game delivers this in spades and ends up creating an evolving battlefield that will look near indistinguishable from the beginning of a map to the end. All of the units retain their viability and it encourages you to know when to hold and know when to run. The two factions also deliver on very distinctive playstyles, with the Germans encouraging a more "static" style that will wear out an opponent and the Americans encouraging more mobility and hit-and-run tactics. Also, there is nothing more satisfying than picking up a Panzershrek or MG34 that a Grenedier squad dropped and using it against them. In all honesty I have yet to play another RTS that captured my like CoH did. If only developers would take what this game did to heart and make something else like this, something with such a dynamic battlefield feel and diverse units that encourage diverse playstyles without resorting to hero units. If you want a challenging, satisfying RTS this is the gold standard.. Excellent strategy game and one of the best RTS games . Have strong mood of ww2 and i love those missions in campain .. The greatest strategy game in the history RTS. Its like Ender's Game only world war two. We play this with the guys at office with 4 of us playing on one side and one person standing behind as our commander for coordinated attacks. Best.♥♥♥♥♥♥ EVER.. Even better than company of heroes 2. Pretty solid RTS with a nice WW2 campaign. Still very playable despite its age.
